Stroud Innovations is a small family-run narrowboat specialist based at Frouds Bridge Marina on the Kennet & Avon Canal near Aldermaston. We build beautiful bespoke narrowboats, we also offer repairs, refits, refurbishments and layout improvements — from small upgrades to full interior transformations.

Restorations and Refits. We bring older narrowboats back to life. Full restorations, complete refits, internal refurbishments, re-layouts, and thoughtful upgrades. All work is carried out to current RCD standards with modern systems where desired.

Small Projects, Repairs and Upgrades. No job is too small. We carry out galley upgrades, bespoke storage solutions, dinette and bed installations, oak steps, repairs, and alterations. Perfect if you just want to improve your boat without a full refit.

Stroud Innovations Ltd provides specialist narrowboat carpentry, bespoke marine joinery, and partial boat refits directly from our base at Frouds Bridge Marina (Aldermaston, Berkshire). Located right on the Kennet & Avon Canal, we are perfectly positioned to serve liveaboards, holiday cruisers, and widebeam owners static or traveling through Thatcham, Newbury, Reading, Hungerford, Great Bedwyn and Theale.

From engineering RCD-compliant layout modifications and custom joinery and carpentry to replacing galley worktops and upgrading space-saving boat storage, all of our woodwork is built to withstand the unique, damp environment of life afloat.
